Leadership and Volunteerism Grants
The Comcast Foundation supports organizations
that make communities stronger through literacy, youth leadership
development and community service programs. Award amounts range from
$1,000 to $570,000. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations
with 501(c)(3) status that operate within a Comcast service area.

Teaching Tolerance
Grants
Teaching Tolerance offers
grants of $500 to $2,500 to pre K-12 classroom teachers for projects designed
to reduce prejudice among youth, improve intergroup relations in schools
and/or support educator professional development in these areas. Proposals
from other community organizations and houses of worship will be considered

Allstate Foundation
Funds for National and Local Programs
The Allstate Foundation provides support
to national programs as well as local programs in company communities throughout
the United States. Proposals must address needs within one of the following
three focus areas: Tolerance, Inclusion, and Diversity, including teaching
tolerance and ending discrimination and hate crimes; Safe and Vital Communities,
including youth anti-violence, neighborhood revitalization, and teen driving
safety; and Economic Empowerment, including financial education and empowerment
for domestic violence victims. Applications are accepted throughout the year.

UnitedHealth HEROES
Service-Learning Grants
Grants of up to $1,000
support teachers, service-learning coordinators and students in the health
professions to implement service-learning projects around childhood obesity
and engage children and youth ages 5 to 25 as volunteers. We encourage semester-long
projects that launch in February, and celebrate Global Youth Service
Day, April 24-26, 2009.
